This stunning townhouse situated in Elwood brings together family and friends in an entertainers’ kitchen that carries the home’s unique aesthetic through with a raw brick wall running the length of the space, and connects the outdoors beautifully with the indoors through the use of a piston-hinged servery window.

The brief for this space was the clients’ desire for an entertainers’ kitchen that incorporates the outdoors as well as the ability to conceal home office utilities, plenty of storage and to maximise both the design aesthetic as well as the functionality of the home in these spaces.
Delivery
The home has numerous open fireplaces encased in natural brickwork; so the design of the kitchen carries this aesthetic through with a raw brick wall running the length of the kitchen and serving as a backsplash. A butler’s pantry complete with sink provides ample food storage for a busy family, and the American Oak veneer stained dark brown smoothly both conceals the pantry and the home office, as well as providing contrast to the rough brick finish of the back wall.
A standout feature of the space connects the entertaining patio with the kitchen: a piston-hinged servery window. With a seamless stainless steel bench-top finish from indoors to outdoors, the clients’ desire to effortlessly connect the two spaces has been realised.
