Performance Meets Warmth
The kitchen was designed as a high-performance, design-forward workspace. One that balances the warmth of mid-century influences with the efficiency of contemporary living. Every material and layout decision was guided by functionality, durability, and visual clarity.
Blackbutt Truescale cabinetry by Laminex introduces natural warmth and texture, forming the foundation of the space. This is paired with stainless steel benchtops to deliver a professional, chef-grade work surface that is both hygienic and highly durable. The island bench is topped with Caesarstone in the Rossa Nova finish, softening the overall composition and providing a welcoming focal point for social interaction and everyday use.
Integrated Fisher & Paykel appliances—including a fridge/freezer, double dishwashing drawer, integrated rangehood, convection oven, and induction cooktop—ensure clean sightlines and a streamlined appearance. A concealed euro-laundry function and a bifold corner appliance door allow for seamless access to frequently used items such as the microwave, kettle, and toaster, while maintaining a clutter-free aesthetic when closed.
Brown mosaic tiles have been used as a splashback behind the sink and along the back of the island bench, adding texture and visual depth without overpowering the neutral palette. Brushed bronze MIXX tapware introduces warmth and refinement, while LED strip lighting under the overhead cabinetry enhances functionality and highlights the joinery with a soft, ambient glow.
The ensuite was conceived as a calm, inclusive retreat. One that balances clean architectural lines with comfort-driven detailing. The design prioritises accessibility and long-term usability without compromising on style.
Natural teak cabinetry by Laminex provides warmth and continuity, complemented by Caesarstone benchtops in the Fresh Concrete finish. This pairing creates a grounded, neutral base that will age gracefully over time. Normandy Classico tiles line both floors and walls, reinforcing a cohesive and timeless aesthetic.
A double vanity with matching shaving cabinets maximises storage and functionality, ideal for shared use. A nib wall runs along the vanity, offering subtle zoning while incorporating integrated storage and visual separation within the space.
To balance the linear nature of the joinery and tiles, a curved shower screen was introduced. This softens the overall composition and adds a more approachable, contemporary feel. The shower-over-bath configuration includes a generous recess, ensuring both practicality and comfort.
The ensuite has been thoughtfully future-proofed with discreet grab rails and Phoenix heated towel rails, ensuring safety and comfort without a clinical appearance. Brushed bronze MIXX tapware mirrors the kitchen finishes, reinforcing material continuity across the home.
