Balaclava Ensuite Bathroom Renovation

The client’s distinctive taste, characterized by a bold style and a penchant for color and pattern, was evident throughout the home, adorned with striking graphic wallpaper and vibrant paint hues. As maximalists, they embraced the idea of pushing boundaries, which led us to explore bold possibilities for their Ensuite design. 

In line with their practical needs and desire for abundant natural light to nurture the collection of plants, our objective was to craft a stunning Ensuite that seamlessly integrated with the rest of the house. Quality and longevity were paramount, aligning perfectly with their ethos of doing things right the first time and avoiding constant repairs. 

Drawing inspiration from the house’s aesthetic, we proposed a playful terrazzo design that resonated with the client’s bold style. Recognizing their affinity for greenery, we incorporated green tiles to bring the outdoors inside, enhancing the Ensuite’s connection to nature. To ensure continuity, we opted for dark woodgrain vanities that matched those in of the Walk-In Robes. 

Once the clients committed to the design, they eagerly sought additional inspiration to fuel their excitement, demonstrating a clear vision for a one-of-a-kind Ensuite that defied convention. 

During the tile layout meeting, we collaborated closely with the clients, exploring various layouts for the green subway tiles and working closely with the tiler to ensure meticulous attention to detail, with every grout line thoughtfully considered.  

This collaborative approach ensured that the final result surpassed expectations, delivering a truly bespoke Ensuite tailored to the client’s unique style and preferences.
