2023 FINALIST of the ‘HIA Renovated Bathroom over $80,000’

Having made the decision to retain this home as their “forever” home, our client’s ensuite brief was clear and simple:

– Must be a sanctuary to escape from their busy lives.

– Must be a showstopper generating happiness when they enter the room.

– Must have more concealed storage than they need.

– Must aesthetically withstand the test of time as this is the last reno for this bathroom.

Layout that Floats…

The current layout was not conducive to maximising storage or creating a showstopper ensuite. Fortunately, we were able to get more space in the ensuite by relocating the WIR wall back by 600mm.

By doing this, we were able to conceal the shower recess and toilet behind a nib wall making the natural marble-clad “floating” bath and the large natural marble-clad vanity the centrepiece of the ensuite.

Not the only feature…

The feature natural stone marble was painstakingly selected, as was the location of veins in the marble throughout the ensuite, in the bath, vanity, and marble-clad shower wall producing a spectacular result.

The “floating” bath was installed with a recessed kicker with LED strip lighting – this required serious detailing, but the result was worth it.

We designed the joinery to have the appearance of minimalism in a soft tone selected from the marble deliberately not to compete with the stunning marble.

The wall cabinetry maximises the desired storage by the client with feature shelving sitting on a marble backdrop.

The clients are thrilled with the completed project and feel that the result totally exceeded their expectations.
