Northcote Home – Bathroom

The owners of this Northcote home wanted to create a spacious bathroom for guests to enjoy – and they wanted the wow factor.

At the initial home consultation, our designer took particular note of the fact that the client’s beautiful home didn’t display any white walls. With this in mind, our design team knew our client was not afraid of a little colour and were certainly open to design flair.

The layout of the room was slightly altered from the original to maximise functionality within the spacious room. The client wanted to ensure that the wow factor was achieved without overspending on expensive tiles or elaborate cabinetry.

This was dramatically executed through the inclusion of an exaggerated round mirror that floods over the vanity unit. Our designer pitched the idea as a ‘setting sun’ that is only elevated when the backing mirror lights are turned on. The shape creates interest while tying back to the penny round tile features in the recess above the free standing bath.

The room has been finished with a soft green wall to offset the grey tiles, keeping true to the client’s style and maintaining a consistent flow of multi-coloured walls throughout the home.
