The clients envisioned an awe-inspiring kitchen that would impress their guests while capturing the breathtaking view of the bay.
To achieve this, we embarked on a transformative journey, beginning with the removal of a wall and extension of the ceiling bulkhead to enhance the overall space.
A key challenge was addressed by wrapping a structural pillar in mirror, eliminating a visual obstruction.
Additionally, the surrounding walls of the kitchen were adorned with laminex surround paneling, painted to seamlessly match the black cabinetry, preserving the cohesive aesthetic.
Though the clients initially had a basic layout in mind and a tentative color palette, they ultimately opted for a design that defied their original expectations. The finished design features white stone countertops paired with black timber laminate in Wood-Matt, creating a striking contrast.
The focal point of the project is the rear island detail, highlighted by a unique bar seat that not only serves a practical function but also enhances the visual appeal from the dining space.
This stunning feature adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall design, elevating the kitchen to new heights of luxury and style.
