Looking to continue the Hamptons theme of their home into the kitchen and pantry areas the clients were finding many limitations with their existing kitchen. The pantry was so small and impractical, there was a bottle neck for people walking in and out of the kitchen area through to the powder room and laundry, and the overall appearance was dated and drab. A butler’s pantry was a must, which meant moving walls around to better divide the spaces. Part of the project was also to re-tile the entire downstairs area, which was the beautiful finishing touch.

The laundry was part of a large scale project which included the kitchen and pantry. The existing laundry was so big yet had no storage and felt like wasted space. The design challenge was to utilise some of the ‘dead space’ in the laundry for doorways into other areas, allowing more space in the kitchen and pantry.
