Client Brief

This bathroom was designed for our client who primarily lives alone but regularly hosts family and guests. The brief was to create a space that felt refined and cohesive with her recently renovated ensuite, while still having its own identity. It needed to be visually impressive yet practical, easy to maintain, functional for guests of all ages, and comfortable to use year-round.

Palette

The palette builds on a soft, layered base, combining Tipo Ash tiles with a calming feature of blue-green square tiles that wrap across part of the room. This creates visual interest without overwhelming the space. Brushed nickel tapware introduces a subtle, refined finish that’s both elegant and practical for a guest bathroom. The Polytec Avion Grey vanity and Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo benchtop provide a clean, neutral foundation, allowing the feature tiles to take focus while maintaining a cohesive, balanced look.

Function

The original layout was highly impractical, with a full glass “greenhouse” nook that made the vanity area too hot, too bright, and difficult to use. The redesign focused on improving comfort and accessibility by building out the vanity wall internally reducing glare while retaining the external structure. The removal of the shower-over-bath allowed for a spacious walk-in shower, making the space safer and more accessible for guests. A nib wall was introduced to improve functionality and provide integrated storage, while also acting as a visual break for the feature tiles.

Product

The bathroom features a Polytec Avion Grey vanity paired with a Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo benchtop, delivering durability with a soft, natural finish.  MIXX brushed nickel tapware and accessories provide consistent, low-maintenance detail throughout the space. A Lusini matte white basin sits cleanly beneath a round LED mirror, enhancing both function and ambient lighting. The shower includes a twin shower system, frameless glass panel, and streamlined drainage, maintaining a minimalist feel. Tipo Ash floor and wall tiles ground the design, while the blue-green feature tiles introduce texture and depth.
