The HIA Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement in Australia’s residential building industry.

The Kitchen Design and Bathroom Design categories recognise excellence in design of a renovated or new residential project. Entries are judged first and foremost on the design, innovation and flair demonstrated by the designer.

About the Renovation

The bathroom of this inner city apartment lacked lustre, the clients had returned after a year of overseas travel and wanted to feel like they were really living in the city not a tired 90’s look.  The shower was in a  walled cubicle, the vanity lacked storage, the tiling was a heavy dated pink marble.

With direction from the client to do greys and texture, we created a separate wet area with soaker bath, and rain shower. Constrictions were on the piece of glass that we could carry up the spiral stair case therefore we created a nib wall for the recess area, this also adds another dimension to the shower area.

Beautiful designed floating cabinetry with tall storage, undermount lighting and basin complete the sense of luxury this bathroom now evokes.
