How Do Virtual Consultations Work?

At smarterBATHROOMS+ we endeavour to make every step of the renovation journey as easy as possible. The current Stage 4 restrictions in Victoria may mean we can’t meet face to face in your home, or at our Port Melbourne showroom but don’t let that stop you! We offer virtual consultations from the initial design meeting, to signing your renovation contract. Ensuring you can get started on your renovation journey from the comfort of your home.

Here’s how our virtual process works.

1. Get inspired

The perfect place to start on your renovation journey is by getting inspired! This is where you can start to understand what you want and don’t want out of your renovation. Browse through our bathroom and kitchen projects and exploring our beautiful showroom through our virtual showroom tour. This will give you great insight as to what could be possible in your home.

If you’re after more information then our blog articles and advice guide can provide you with the answers to all of your home renovation questions. From design tips and tricks to budgeting guidelines, you will find everything you need to know about your home renovation there.

Another great tool is our bathroom and kitchen 3D planner! It’s a simple way to play around with design layouts in 4 simple steps!

2. Virtual Design Consultation

When your ready to engage with an expert the only thing left to do is to book in a FREE video consultation with a member of our award-winning design team. We have flexible times available to work within your schedule with a multitude of video call platforms available to best suit your technological needs.

To get the most out of your video consultation there are a few additional pieces of information that you can send to your designer prior to your consultation that will really help to get the most out of your virtual consultation:

  • Measurements of your space: In most instances, you can gain your house plans from and if you need to measure up your space, we have put together a handy tutorial to help you.
  • Images of your space: Sending pictures of your existing room is the perfect way for your designer to understand the space as well as the natural lighting they have to play with. Don’t worry there is no need to tidy up before getting the camera out!
  • Inspiration images: If you have a Pinterest board you would like to share with your designer or any images of spaces you want to emulate then these are always helpful too.

On your video call your interior designer will gain an understanding of your requirements for your new space, talk you through innovative options that are designed to make your life easier, discuss the style of your space, as well as providing you with an estimated budget. By the end of your initial design consultation, you will be well on the way to creating the bathroom or kitchen of your dreams.

3. Virtual Quotation Presentation

Your designer will present your renovation solution over a video call, to outline your design concept, with a detailed quotation and scope of work. To help you visualise your space, your designer may present you with a 3D view or show you examples of the fixtures, finishes and storage solutions from our showroom displays. It’s easy to walk through our showroom via our virtual showroom tour.

4. Selecting your materials and finishes

After confirming that your ready to renovate with sB+ it’s time to select all of the new materials, colours, fixtures and finishes that will fill your new home. Guided by your personal taste, your interior designer will work with you to select every last detail of your renovation.

This too is done virtually as your interior designer will send you a physical ‘mood board’ with samples of the products that will be used in your project so you can touch and feel the product before confirming your selections.

5. We’re ready to renovate

Prior to signing your renovation contract, we will conduct an onsite building inspection. This, of course, can not be conducted virtually. So after stage 4 restrictions have been lifted our building manager will enter your home to take final measurements and perform an inspection. Once this has been conducted we will be back onsite before you know it to transform your home.

If you have any questions about our virtual process, you can get in touch with us on 1300 662 838 or if you are ready to start your renovation journey book a FREE video consultation with a member of our design team today.

What our clients have to say:

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou to an amazing team. Take care, and mask up!” Joanne
