Award winning bathrooms and Kitchens – A case study

 A sleek two-bedroom New York style loft apartment in the heart of Melbourne was transformed by Smarter Kitchens and Smarter Bathrooms resulting in two Housing Industry Association Awards.

“Initially we planned renovate the main bathroom and power room. We were really happy with that job so then Susan refurbished our kitchen and downstairs powder room, laundry, and finally, our en suite.”

Award-winning Kitchen and Bathroom Designer Susan Cleveland is an industry expert with over 15 years’ experience touted for her ability to interpret her client’s visions, streamlining the design and renovation process.

“We started by sending Smarter Kitchens an email inquiry and Susan got back pretty much straight away and from there she made an appointment to come out and see us.”

“At that appointment we went through what my vision for the renovation was and then Susan took us through what Smarter do as far as the service they provide. From there it was the simple matter of making the decision to go ahead with them. It was very straight forward,” said Barrett.

“Our next step was visiting the showroom and discussing the products we’d like, then it was all underway; we signed the contracts and off we went.”

Estimating that the time between sign off to the build was a mere matter of weeks; the process felt very much “immediate” for Lisa and her partner, making the transition simple.

“We discussed a start time and prior to that date we selected all of the products at the showroom which were delivered onsite the very same day the build started.”

The way in which Smarter Kitchens Smarter Bathrooms co-ordinated the build took out all of the difficult guess work, usually synonymous with renovations.

“We didn’t have to project manage at all as they provided someone on site every day to deal with any issues that came up, in consultation with us. We didn’t have to go and source the products. We could have anything we wanted and that was all factored in to the one price.”

From day one, it was clear; delays are a non-issue for the Smarter team.

“Everything was scheduled in minute detail so it there was never the fear of ‘The plumber is not going to be here today, which will hold up the tiling’. It was a really slick operation.”

The aesthetic impact of the renovation is evident on many levels “The bathroom and the kitchen won HIA awards so that was a pretty big difference,” said Lisa proudly.
