Kew Bathroom- to bath or not to bath?

Bilston McGillen ensuite in Kew

The clients felt that the existing layout did not function as well as it should and was encumbered by a huge bath when you entered the room.

The decision to remove the bath from the equation was a good one as it then allowed the bathroom to tick all of the client’s wishes – large shower area/ large vanity with loads of storage and a feature wall tying in the adjacent bedroom.

We installed a new window with opaque glazing to become a backdrop for the large shower area and when you enter the room.

The vanity was moved to the opposite wall and this enabled a large mirror to be installed, creating a sense of space.

The feature splashback in the emerald green mosaics complements the master bedroom and the timber veneer in the vanity has been used throughout the entire house.
