Book Consult

Our client is a young professional who loves hosting family and friends. She wanted to create a comfortable and private space for her guests to call their own.

Our brief

  • A space for her guests to have a shower, independent from her personal bathroom
  • A moody room that would feel unique within her bright and airy home
  • Adequate amount of storage
  • A spot next to the round basin to stand soap and toiletries.

To create our client’s ideal guest bathroom, we proposed redistributing the footprint of both adjacent spaces in a way that allowed the new guest bathroom to fit a shower.

We relocated the toilet next to the basin and included a walk-in shower in the new wall. The whole subflooring was also re-done to meet the highest standards of waterproofing.

The palette for the design developed during the selection meeting, when the client fell in love with the ‘Nero’ tile, which means ‘black’ in Italian.

In line with the idea of providing the maximum amenity in the minimum footprint, we made sure we included adequate storage by installing a shaving cabinet recessed into the wall and a shower recess to stand toiletries.

We designed a piece that wraps around the basin for the soap stand, creating the illusion of both basin and stand being one piece. We handcrafted a bespoke soap stand from a cut of Caesarstone, which had to be measured and cut precisely, and then carefully installed for a clean and flawless finish.
