A dated family home became a warm, tactile and cohesive one: walnut grain, terracotta colour and cool aqua glaze, held together by brushed bronze and brushed nickel.
KITCHEN

Enclosed white laminate cabinetry and benchtops with grid tile made way for a walnut kitchen with a terracotta glass splashback. We opened up the wall enclosing the kitchen, creating an entrance as you walk through the front door.

The curved island is wrapped in a half-round Polytec Steccawood panel and topped with a Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo Mineral benchtop.

A thin stainless steel benchtop along the cooking wall provides a contrasting, crisp, hard-wearing working edge.
LAUNDRY

A bare white room with a single trough and rundown cabinetry is now a hardworking space that looks beautiful from the kitchen.

Florence Cotto terracotta tiles, stacked vertically, run up to a curved walnut shelf, and Laminex Woodmatt Blossom White cabinetry above keeps the room bright.
ENSUITE

A large, dated, blue-tiled ensuite with a laminate vanity and a huge spa bath has been transformed into a new ensuite with a separate, functional walk-in robe. The ensuite is now a calm, moody space. Nobo Dark Grey stone-look tiles ground the room, and vertically stacked aqua subway tiles give the double vanity and shower their pop of colour.

Brushed bronze taps warm it up against the Polytec Florentine Walnut vanity and Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo Mineral benchtop. It’s fully equipped with a smart toilet, a heated towel rail and timer-controlled underfloor heating.
