Middle Park Home – Kitchen and Bathroom

For this beautiful Middle Park home, our brief was to update the main bathroom and kitchen to create a modern, functional space with a minimalist aesthetic.

The clients had renovated their home 20+ years ago, so they felt an update was needed for the space to reflect their current taste and style.

Our clients wished for a monochrome and minimalist look, so we utilised a combination of white 2 pack and black super matt cabinetry. We complimented the cabinetry with a Calcutta look porcelain benchtop and splashback for maximum durability.  The splashback covers the height of the wall and is complemented by the black Hafele Smart Cube our clients selected to add a personal touch to the kitchen.

A V-groove panelling detail on the island bar back references the panelling to the ceiling, breaking up the sleek textures of the 2 pack and super matt finishes to generate visual interest.  A black shadow line, which became a motif throughout the design, is also included throughout the kitchen.

Because our client wanted a highly functional kitchen, we included pull out cabinetry hardware through the cabinetry, including corners to utilise every inch of space. This was designed so everything came to the user with ease.

To achieve the sleek, minimalistic look our client wanted, we integrated all appliances and concealed a wine fridge. We also installed ultra-thin GPO outlets, recessing them into the porcelain for a seamless effect.

To address ventilation, we installed a powerful integrated Quasair rangehood. We utilised LED lighting throughout the space, with LED strip lighting placed above the overheads to create ambience and provide additional lighting.
